Introducing Raylene Little Moon, a singular female character straddling two cultures. Her Depression-era story features family honor, prairie justice, and the triumph of human decency.

1936. Hardscrabble times. When Raylene Little Moon's father is murdered in his Kansas City saloon, all clues point to the beloved uncle who helped raise her. Now family honor drives Raylene, a Lakota ranch hand and healer, to discover her uncle's motive for killing and properly punish him.

As Raylene tracks her uncle, Union Pacific Railroad detective John Murphy pursues Raylene across two states while working a missing-jewelry case. Following her onto South Dakota's Pine Ridge Reservation, he stirs trouble that requires Raylene's intervention and mercy.

And the killer uncle carrying secrets? He's expecting Raylene and has planned a dramatic reckoning of his own.
