Weinbeschreibungen von Winzern sind oft nicht kongruent mit den Assoziationen von Konsumenten. Kenner beschreiben Weine sehr detailliert und entsprechen damit nicht vollständig der Einschätzung, die Konsumenten von ihrem Produkt haben. Es ist daher durchaus für den Winzer interessant zu wissen, welche Assoziationen Konsumenten mit ihren Weinen haben im Sinne einer besseren Kundenorientierung und betreuung. Werden Weinbeschreibungen dahingehend adaptiert, dass emotionale Aspekte als Teil der Produktattribute einfließen, dann wäre eine stärkere Kundenbindung denkbar. Eine Erlebniswelt rund um das Genussmittel Wein aufzubauen, die Gefühle, Erinnerungen und Bilder erzeugt, macht sicher Sinn.
